GYMNASTICS FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN IN DRONFIELD

‘’Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) is an Olympic sport consisting of 4 apparatus: the Vault, the Asymmetric Bars, the Beam, and the Floor Exercise. Girls can train from age 5 and can begin competing at 7 years old and work their way up through various grades and levels. Reaching the top levels requires intense training. At DGA, we have a well-established WAG programme that nurtures competitive gymnasts from grass roots up to high level competitors.

Gymnasts begin in our one hour a week sessions and those selected through our trials can progress through to our Development Squad programme to our Girls and Women’s squads. We run trials each year and take great care to select those with a natural aptitude towards gymnastics.

We encourage our coaching team to continually progress their coaching skills and knowledge by attending workshops, camps and courses and we foster an environment where our coaches share knowledge and support one another with their continuous development’’.

We have a dedicated viewing gallery for parents to watch classes from upstairs should they wish or you can drop your child off and pick them up again at the end of class. Our facility boasts a viewing gallery for parents, a fully stocked café with hot drinks and snacks.
